Atlanta, G.A. - The Holiday Inn Center City- Charlotte has received the IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) [LON: IHG, NYSE: IHG (ADRs)] 2007 Renovation Award for having successfully completed major modernization and renovation programs during the past year. IHG is the world's largest hotel group by number of rooms.
The hotel was honored at a special ceremony held during the 2007 IHG Americas Investors & Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas, October 22-24, 2007. Vineet Nayyar of the Holiday Inn Center City-Charlotte accepted the award. The hotel is one of 45 hotels to receive this award.
"The Holiday Inn Center City- Charlotte further demonstrated its commitment to enhancing the guest experience with the renovation of its property last year," said Steve Porter, president, the Americas, IHG.
Renovations on the hotel were completed in August, 2007. A trophy designating the Holiday Inn Center City- Charlotte as a 2007 Renovation Award winner will be on permanent display at the hotel.
More than 4,000 franchise owners, operators and company officials attended the 2007 IHG Americas Investors & Leadership Conference.
